The endangered Albatross

Updated: Aug 24, 2020

Once there was an albatross by the name of Laysan Alba, a sea bird living in Hawaii islands, who flew more than 24,843 miles in flight across the North Pacific ocean to find food for its baby bird in just 90 days – a flight distance equivalent to circling the entire globe! Just imagine that! Numbers of Albatrosses in the world is on a decline due to harvesting for feathers and plastic pollution in oceans. They are critically endangered as of today.
